Felixstowe Port Weather Disruption: Potential Delays Ahead

Felixstowe Port

The latest weather forecasts indicate that Felixstowe Port operations are likely to be disrupted due to high winds and adverse weather conditions from 07:00 on Thursday 23 October through to 03:59 on Friday 24 October 2025.

During this period, hauliers have advised that all bookings have been temporarily removed, and travel to the port is not recommended, particularly on Thursday afternoon when windspeeds are expected to peak.

Should the forecast not improve, port operations may be suspended for safety reasons until conditions allow. Further updates are expected from hauliers and the Felixstowe VBS system, and schedules may be adjusted accordingly.

What This Means for Customers

This disruption could result in delays to container collections and deliveries, and in some cases, it may not be possible for hauliers to access the port at all during the affected hours. While every effort will be made to minimise disruption once conditions improve, short-term congestion and rescheduling should be anticipated as operations resume.

Our Response

The Beckchoice team is actively monitoring the situation and maintaining close contact with our haulage partners. We’ll continue to provide updates directly to customers whose shipments are affected and adjust arrangements where possible to reduce the impact on delivery timelines.

Looking Ahead

As always, safety remains the top priority for all port and haulage operations. Once weather conditions stabilise, bookings will reopen, and collections will continue as normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period of disruption and will keep customers informed as new information becomes available.

Please Note: This information is correct as of 22 October 2025 but is subject to rapid change depending on weather developments and operational decisions at the port. For the latest updates, please contact our team.
