Last week, we donated several of our retired company laptops, chargers and docking stations to Every Child Online, a fantastic Basildon-based charity that works to close the digital divide and end digital poverty across the UK.
Every Child Online refurbishes donated IT equipment and supplies it free of charge to schools, youth organisations and social service departments supporting underprivileged children and young adults. Since launching, they’ve refurbished and distributed thousands of devices, giving young people the opportunity to learn, connect and thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Being based so close to the Beckchoice office, this local initiative really resonated with us. When businesses upgrade their technology, it’s easy to overlook the impact that older, still-functioning devices can have elsewhere. By donating ours, we’re helping ensure they continue to make a difference where they’re needed most.
We’re proud to support such a meaningful cause and would encourage other companies to do the same. Donating unused technology is simple, sustainable and can truly change lives.
