This Christmas, Beckchoice had the pleasure of teaming up with the talented students at Deneholm Primary School for a creative and festive art competition with a unique twist—freight forwarding!
As part of the competition, students were given outlines of various freight transport vehicles, from trucks and trains to ships and aeroplanes, to colour in and embellish with their imaginative designs. Four lucky winners were chosen to have their designs featured on Beckchoice’s official Christmas cards, and each winner received a special prize.
The competition not only allowed the children to express their creativity but also allowed us to introduce them to the exciting world of freight forwarding. During the competition, we shared how this essential industry helps to move goods across the globe, and how logistics and transportation play a key role in everyday life. We hope to have inspired the next generation to think about the wide-reaching impact of the freight industry—and perhaps even spark an interest in pursuing a future career in the freight world!
The response to the competition was overwhelming, with 118 fantastic entries from students excited to showcase their artistic talents. After much deliberation, our four winners— Chloe, 5, Violet, 9, Rueben, 7, and Anastasia, 6 —were selected. Each winner received a £50 Smyths Toy Store voucher, a gift bag packed with festive treats, and a certificate of achievement. It was an absolute joy to see their faces light up when they received their prizes during a special assembly and visit from our Marketing Executive, Hannah Gilbank.
In addition to the prizes, and a thank-you to all the students for participating, we gifted 400 Christmas crackers to enjoy at their festive lunch.
